Triplets of Tsukishima, 16 years old and still swingin'

Three lambs and their Mom.

Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!

There are actually 3 lambs, the third is hiding behind mama

A row of 3 stands beneath the blue sky.

They may look like normal size leaves, but these are miniature Oak leaves growing off of that single little stem that has broken out from the trunk of the tree.

This tree is in my landscape and these triplet beauties caught my eye as I was cutting the grass yesterday.

In the house I went, grabbed my macro lens, and captured them from several angles. Here is the result.

What is it about autumn leaves that are so beautiful?!

Watching the triplets fight it out for this one landing spot. You can this and others on my website www.les-greenwood.pixels.com.

Hours after birth, Mom #60 is coaxing her new borns to walk towards the warmth of the light.

Nene Goose (Branta Sandvicensis) This is the animal I was looking for the entire time I was in Hawaii. This is the rarest goose in the world. I was blessed and highly favored to find them and be able to photograph them.

On a recent trip to the Mount Stephen trilobite beds, I spotted these over 500 million year old fossils embedded in three different shades of rock.

Additional information about these and other fossils can be found on the “Burgess Shale Foundation” website.

Okay, I have to admit I got a few pictures of these three sibling grizzly cubs so let me know when you've seen enough. These are cubs of first time mom bear 901 at Brooks Falls in Alaska. They're still not sure about jumping in the river even to follow Mom. They eventually get wet but don't make it very far into the river.

The Galaxy Triplet NGC6769, NGC6770 & NGC6771 is a gravitational interacting triplet of galaxies, located about 190 million light years away in the southern constellation of Pavo

In addition to the main galaxies, this image also features the objects IC 4842 and IC 4845. IC 4842 is visible in the upper left corner, while IC 4845 can be found at the bottom of the image.

Plus IC 4836 is visible in the upper right corner.

Leo Triplet M66-M65-NGC3628 - Galaxies - Constellation Leo The Leo Triplet is composed of the spiral galaxies M66, M65 and NGC3628, they are in interaction with each other and a neutral hydrogen halo connects them, a sign of a close encounter that took place 800 million years ago. The triplet is about 35 million light years from us and is located in the constellation Leo. M66 the largest and brightest of the complex is also known as NGC3627 was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780. Quite easy to locate halfway between the stars θ Leonis and ι Leonis. In order to appreciate some of its details, it is necessary to have a telescope with an aperture of at least 150mm. Visible from both hemispheres, the best period for its observation is between February and August. M65 also known as NGC3623 was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780 at the same time as M66, Charles Messier described it as a very faint and starless nebula. 22 million light years away from us, it is estimated to have a diameter of about 70,000 light years and a mass equal to 85 billion solar masses. NGC3628 third component of the triplet is less luminous than the others, but very extensive, crossed in its length by a long luminous band, it is about 35 million light years from us, it was discovered in 1784 by William Herschel.
