Heading right into the storm... An unstable airmass aloft had triggered thunderstorms to develop around the region this day. Pic taken from the southern edges of Morgan Hill, CA while along U.S. 101 northbound. (Thursday afternoon, May 7, 2015)
Weather summary:
Rain and snow in May for Northern California? An unseasonably cold spring storm had pushed south through parts of NorCal this day of Thursday, May 7, 2015, bringing a belated touch of a winter that had never really was to the drought-stricken state. With an unstable airmass aloft as well, it also brought a threat for t-storms. Rainfall amounts with this system was forecast to be quite variable due to the showery nature of its precipitation. For our area here around the Bay Area, rain showers fell, with isolated heavier, possibly t-storms, had fallen in other places. Moderate rain showers have been observed while around the Morgan Hill, CA areas. By Friday, dryer weather was to resume as the low departs... Though this storm system had delivered much-needed rainfall\snowfall, much more would be needed in order to end our ridiculous drought here... Speaking of the date, it's interesting to know that EXACTLY a month earlier (April 7), we also had a storm that had brought rain to our area!

Victoria's Isobel Trigger performing during The Zone @ 91.3's Band of the Month showcase at Distrikt Nightclub.
My daugter got quite trigger happy when I showed her how the cord trigger on the camera.
Got to try that again but set the focus better. She's has a hard time sitting in one place for a long time, or even a short amount of time for that matter.
She had a blast.
