I seem to have a fascination for these tiny flowers (Stylidium graminifolium) . The "trigger" which springs up and temporarily traps insects is clearly shown, as are the sticky tentacles which seem to prevent insects crawling into the centre of the flower.

Experimenting with Strobist's $0.02 macro studio, my new 430EX and Cactus wireless flash triggers.

Trigger-plant, a species of Stylidium. Christmas Tree Well, Western Australia, November 2011.

i've been taking photos @ camberwell market in preperation for a trip to vietnam. I've been shooting street 'off the hip' with a wireless camera trigger with a 20mm f/1.8 lens attached to a 5dii. This way I can get very close to my subject without them realising I am taking a photo.

What I do is hold my camera in one hand; as if i was protecting it from swinging around & in my pocket I have a small yongnuo wireless trigger which I can press to activate the shutter. Then it's just a matter of aiming the lens in their general direction & shooting.

Another off camera flash experiment. Flash gun probably too close to the wall it was bouncing off, and not balanced very well with the ambient light. Having said that, I find the directional shadow quite interesting.

Again - Skyport triggers and a Canon 580ex Speedlite.
