The other weekend my friend Samara was visiting from Aus and we decided to arrange a little photo shoot. We both wanted to capture some interesting shapes using dancers. Sam got onto Model Mayhem and arranged for these two amazing dancers to come down. The shoot went really well, the rain stayed away and we spent a good couple of hours shooting whilst the guys jumped and threw themselves about.

Note the highly polished internals and the massive hammer springs. This spring design is much more relaible and less likely to break than conventional "V" leaf springs. Did you notice that the hammers are attached to their pivots on the trigger plate instead of the action?
Created motion-sensored sounds that were triggered by dancers. Cameras were installed in the ceiling of the performance venue. When dancers moved within the frame of a camera, they triggered sound. Dancers placed tape in the location of where they triggered sound.
Collaborated with performance artist Risa Horn and Alison Kotin using computer program Processing to create time based choreography. Motion sensing technology composes the sound score live, as it is triggered by movement of dancers. Invisible and structural mapping of space explores a psychological landscape of familial migration.

This little guy's name is Trigger. He belongs to Bob, who is behind me. Bob's family got fed up with living in a small motorhome so they went back to England. Trigger is his only companion while he builds his house.
This is just a square cut out an old cd jewel case. A little strip of gaffer tape will hold it on and its fairly easy to get access when needed
