……In my music room there are numerous ‘misfits’ if things were to get a little mixed up! This genre crossing LP selection here has a misfit in many ways - Red to Black is obvious but Tricky & Bach are composers that are poles apart, as are Tricky’s Flame Red ‘The Hell EP’ and Black four LP set of ’St Matthew Passion’ by Bach that I used to take the shot. All done for Macro Monday’s theme of ‘Misfit’ - which would you choose??? HMM while you ponder, Alan:-)…….

It seems hard to believe, but this was one of the more difficult descents on our trip! This wide track consisted of stones and a kind of gravel and was very steep in many places. I really had to watch out at every step I took, because the risk of losing your balance was there all the time.
Okay, I wouldn't have fallen very dangerously, but I didn't feel like twisting an ankle on one of the first days of my journey.
To me, darters always look happy, and this cheery-looking chappy is no exception.
The farmer helpfully dug a small pond next to our house about two years ago, and the common darters didn't take long to find it (also saw common hawker this year!).
I do find these very tricky subjects, because they are either zipping about and never landing (when it's sunny), or completely hidden (when it's cooler). In my few attempts, I haven't found any willing to pose this year ... so here's a shot from last September of a male resting on a post.
This is the descent down swirral edge from Helvellyn, it is steep and the path/pebbles are very slippy...my knees are still cursing me!! The peak in the distance at the edge of the ridge is Catstye Cam

Leo (left) and Lexi live near Wright-Locke Farm and often go for walks on its trails. He's an older dog, who's sweet and loves to eat grass. She's young and energetic. It was difficult to get both of them in focus. I tethered them to a nearby tree, using an equal length of leash for both dogs. I then used my noise effect box to get their attention, playing a "boing-boing" spring sound.
M316 passes the abandoned hulk of WS Tower, long out of service but still guarding the passage of CSX trains on the old B&O West End. Just ahead lies Kingwood Tunnel and the summit of Newburg Grade. With the long shadows and being on the "dark" side of the train to get the tower in frame, this is a tricky one to get just right. Thanks to burst mode this version with about 95% of the nose lit up meets the "good enough" threshold, as far as I'm concerned. One could wait till the summer months for the sunlight to be more head on here, but they would find that the abandoned tower looks more like a chia pet with all of the vines growing on and around it.
Yes, Dickey Falls is the actual name of this falls!! It was tough to capture as I had to stop on the side of the highway and walk down the bank to a clearing and shoot from across the river. This was the clearest shot I could get. I shot some up closer but liked the way the hill crossed in the foreground and kind of led you into the falls. The close up was just rock and water. Kris.
I found the theme a bit difficult this week. I hadn't worked with metal just yet and it proved rather tricky photographing it. Out of all photos I took (there were a lot :)), I chose this one. I tried to create high contrast and some special lines. A bit of negative space is also something I like to include. :)

Tricky shot...
Despite appearances the light wasnt good and it was one of those 'moments' to decide whether to risk a slow shutter to retain some quality., or use a faster shutter to reduce motion blur
I went for the former and luckily despite the Stags size and weight he paused just for a split second whilst on two legs enabling me to get a shot off
A turnstone on the Cornish coast. This bird was almost constantly moving meaning composing photos was quite tricky. Thankfully it stopped amongst the seaweed for long enough for me to compose this shot
Some people don’t just pass through your life, they become a place you return to.
While my world stays quiet, yours doesn’t. Sirens, urgency, moments that can shift without warning… things I don’t have to live, but I can’t ignore.
And still, somehow, we find pauses.
Yesterday was one of them.
No alarms. No fear. Just a moment that felt almost untouched.
Distance doesn’t weaken what’s real. It proves it. Because even when our realities are not the same, some people remain ,constant, unshaken, present.
Some people are not just friends.
They are home.
And somehow, no matter how loud the world gets…
we always find our way back there. ♥

The minions had never ever not even once thought that eyeballs were candy until they heard a group of people speaking appreciatively about eye candy.
It was decided on the spot.
They frantically surfed the dark web and found a crew with a truck who eagerly agreed to collect and deliver every single eyeball they could find.
Don't ask.
So this year for Halloween, the minions are passing out eye candy to all the trick or treaters.
The trick or treaters are passing out.

I'm showing you what's possible with an old, broken emergency laptop and Gimp (my main computer died) so photography in SL isn't impossible, just more...challenging. I crashed several times trying to take this as my potato objected to the shadows.
Its actually a great week for RPers in SL - Fantasy Fair is now open with many sims to explore. Several of the Engine Room creators are present too.
