My tribute to our dearly loved Queen Elizabeth, reigned for 70 years. Not just Monarch of the UK and the Commonweath, much respected Worldwide Diplomat as the tributes from the World Leaders are showing us.
She will be sorely missed.
I'd also like to say a big thank you to all the Residents of Second Life who have offered their condolences to those of us UK Residents.

24/01/2024 - More than 40 percent of schools (288) in Gaza are run by the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), while the rest are either directly operated by the Palestinian Authority or privately managed.
All of them are currently shut as more than 85 percent of Gaza’s 2.3 million people have been displaced amid continued Israeli ground and air offensive that has killed more than 25,000 people, including 10,000 children.
According to UNRWA data from 2018, Gaza had 737 schools. At least 9,367 teachers work in the 288 UNRWA schools.
Malgré l’adoption d’une résolution du Conseil de sécurité de l’ONU appelant à un cessez-le-feu immédiat à Gaza pendant le Ramadan, les attaques se poursuivent dans l'enclave palestinienne. Dans ce climat, même l’école n’est pas épargnée.
Selon une récente évaluation du secteur de l’éducation des Nations Unies à Gaza, 212 bâtiments scolaires ont été directement touchés depuis le 7 octobre 2023, ce qui représente 37 % du nombre total d’écoles touchées sur les 563 bâtiments scolaires de Gaza. La précédente évaluation de mi-février faisait état de 162 bâtiments scolaires directement touchés.
L’analyse des données satellitaires a révélé qu’au moins 53 écoles ont été totalement détruites (27 écoles de plus par rapport à la période précédente). Selon les agences humanitaires onusiennes, 38 autres écoles ont perdu au moins la moitié de leurs structures.

plus de 80 % des écoles ont subi des dommages plus ou moins importants à leurs bâtiments, c’est-à-dire qu’elles ont été directement touchées ou probablement endommagées. Près de 60 % des bâtiments scolaires qui ont été utilisés par les personnes déplacées comme abris sont soit directement touchés, soit endommagés.
Près de 165 des 212 écoles directement touchées se trouvent dans la zone visée par les ordres d’évacuation de l’armée israélienne. De plus, 57% (107) des bâtiments scolaires de l’agence des Nations Unies pour les réfugiés palestiniens, l'UNRWA, ont été directement touchés ou endommagés. Des écoles gouvernementales ont été également visées par les raids israéliens ou les combats.
Le rapport montre aussi que le nord de Gaza est le plus touché avec 86 % de ses bâtiments scolaires directement touchés ou endommagés, suivi par le gouvernorat de Gaza avec 81% de l’ensemble de ses bâtiments scolaires.

Choir! Choir! Choir! got together last night with Daveed and Nobu at U of T to sing "Linger" for Dolores O'Riordan. So sad .. RIP.
My Mom used to say this to my brothers and I instead of the typical threats. In our house, "Clean up your room or you're grounded!" was replaced by "Clean up your room or I shall beat you into bloody submission!" I think it might be due to her love of the language - she's a retired English Lit teacher. Rest assured, no one in our home was ever beaten, into bloody submission or otherwise.
This rusty plow head is my tribute to farmers across the globe. Thanks for their labor and toil, the hard work they put in to the soil to harvest the bounty of Allah's grace. May you always have abundance in your fields and your lives.

The RAF Tribute to VE Day, Typhoon and Spitfire both based at Conningsby fly in formation at RAF Cosford Airshow 2015. Sadly the VE Day special scheme Typhoon had gone Tech so the Special scheme solo Typhoon was used.
Last night Lulu and I went to Exchange place to see the Tribute in Light, we got there just as they were starting and stopped into the Vu bar at the Hyatt for a couple of drinks till it got a little darker, met a couple there who come here each year to see it as they had friends affected by the tragedy was nice but a little emotional talking to them, I promised them to post a couple of shots so here they are
as you can see my shots looked far better on the back of a camera than they do on a screen, I really need to get out and practice night shots

Ich werde dich und deine Bilder vermissen. Überleg dir deine Entscheidung bitte noch einmal.
Alcune delle foto tributo in ricordo di una dolcissima gattina che l'anno scorso arrivò a casa mia, ma che purtroppo quasi un mese fa è volata in cielo.. Non sono brava con le parole e se non le ho condivise prima era perchè mi faceva troppo male, come ancora reagisco guardando in questi scatti il suo dolce musetto e sentendo ogni giorno la sua assenza. Alcuni di voi avranno già visto queste foto nel precedente account. Ti ricorderò sempre così Tiffany, estremamente diffidente con tutti ma allo stesso tempo bisognosa di attenzioni, un pò come sono io soprattutto in questa fase non molto stabile della mia vita.

Some of the photo tribute in memory of a sweet cat that last year arrived at my house, but unfortunately almost a month ago has flown in the sky... I'm not good with words and I've not shared before these shots, because I was too bad... as I still react by looking at these pics her sweet little face and feeling every day her absence. Some of you will have already seen these photos in the previous account. I will always remember you so Tiffany, extremely suspicious of everyone but at the same time in need of attention... a bit like me, especially in this phase of my life that is not very stable.
