It's more than just the tribal casino gaming operations; it's also tobacco and fireworks.

Located quite literally at the bottom of Nevada, a stone's throw to California to the west, and Arizona to the east.
This is 243 of 365 - somehow I skipped a number a few days ago, from 242 to 244! I took this at Casuarina beach, saved it as 243 but forgot to upload! EEEK!
The model is my sister, holding a bit of driftwood that didn't quite live up to the standards I wanted to take photos of it alone!

This thing, live, was mind blowing!
When I saw them in those costumes, and heard their absolutely amazing voices, AND their great performance (especially the guy), I was thinking with myself they don't look like typical Amsterdam street performers. And yeah, they turn out to be from NYC and "traveling the world", so they were just staying in Amsterdam for a couple of weeks...

Tribal Baroque Performance in Central Park at Bethesda Terrace
It was a feast for all senses. Beautiful performance by talented musicians, singers, and dancers. I was mesmerized.

For my friends at Tribal Gear. Maybe '92-'93
This piece is quite memorable as I was being shot at while painting it. Long story short... a couple of drunk/high writers were sitting on the loading dock across the tracks from this wall and shooting at the wall I was painting. So as I'm outlining my piece... a gun shot is heard and immediately a hole in the wall a few feet to my left. Seconds later... gun shot with a hole in the wall a few feet to my right. It happened three more times before I decided to skip all the extra shit I wanted to do, sign and dedicate the piece and take my ass outta there.
Woman with tradition and culture so deep rooted within her. She covers her face but does not hesitate to give such a beautiful smile, she wears the beautiful traditional jewellery, clothes and tatoos which are unique to their tribe.
Taken for the Macro Monday's Theme "Fill the Frame". This is a necklace I bought on one of my trips to the Caribbean. When viewed in macro, it almost appears like teeth!! Sure hope no teeth were pulled in the makings of this necklace!! HMM and happy week everyone. Thanks for your support in this group! You guys rock!!
The Omo Valley is unique in that besides the home of the richest national parks of the country it's a living museum whose inhabitants seem intent on outdoing each other when it comes to outwardly bizarre rituals and decorations. View large on black
Body scarring, lip plates, bull-jumping, stick fighting - in different parts of South Omo these are all part of the way of life.

This man belongs to the "Rabari" tribe/caste. His outfit is 100% traditional, likely the same as what his ancestors wore hundreds of years ago. These days in the place where he lives (near Dwarka) only the elders wear traditional clothes. The young have exchanged those for jeans and shirts.
Doi Pui - Hmong Tribal Village (Thailand) is located on Doi Suthep, a 1676 meter high mountain. The village is about 4 kilometers away from Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep and despite being a key tourist attraction, and therefore probably not as authentic as it could be, it still offers an insight into how Thailand’s tribes live. The villagers wear traditional Hmong clothes, sell traditional Hmong handicrafts, and live in traditional Hmong-style homes.

A dynamic fantasy artwork depicts a tribal warrior woman standing on the right side of the scene, dominating the foreground with an intense gaze. She has long dark hair adorned with an elaborate feathered headdress featuring red, orange, and brown feathers, along with blue and white accents. Her skin is adorned with intricate tribal tattoos covering her body, including geometric patterns, animals, and symbols. She wears a fur skirt and a matching fur wristband, and holds a wooden spear with a sharp, metallic blade. Her face and neck are painted with elaborate tribal designs, and she wears a necklace made of bone and shells. The warrior's expression is focused and determined, with her furrowed brows adding to her intense appearance. In the midground, three fierce T-Rex dinosaurs are visible, with one prominently gazing upwards on the left, its mouth wide open showcasing sharp teeth and an open mouth. Two additional T-Rexes are positioned towards the left, with one having its mouth partially open, revealing its teeth. Several large birds of prey, resembling eagles or falcons, are flying in the air, adding to the scene's intensity. The background features rugged mountain peaks with patches of green vegetation, cascading waterfalls, and a dramatic sky filled with large, fluffy clouds and patches of blue sky. The scene is set in a prehistoric environment with various dinosaurs roaming the rocky landscape. A small fire burns in the bottom left corner, emitting bright orange and yellow flames. The lighting is natural and diffused, coming from above, casting dramatic shadows and highlights across the landscape and characters, enhancing the epic and intense mood of the image. The color palette includes earthy tones like dark brown, forest green, amber yellow, and charcoal gray, with high contrast and moderate saturation, creating a vivid and immersive scene that captures the raw power and complexity of prehistoric life.
Tive até dó de tirar ;-;
Tirei porque o espaço entre a unha e a esmaltação estava enorme, e tinha as outras unhas do desafio pra fazer
Daang is inhabited mainly by the tribal Adivasis, the minority aboriginal population of India. They earn their humble livelihood through cattle breeding, farming in small patches of land & odd menial work. The region faces serious deforestation issues due to both of the above activities & makes a classic clash between forest conservation & the survival of resident tribals.
