M62-1211 of Pol-Miedź Trans lifts empty wagons towards Knurów on the Gierałtowice triangular junction. March the 15th 2023.

We had spent some time on the Ornontowice leg of this junction, the line seen heading right in the picture. But nothing came along this single line to the coal mine a few kilometres beyond but two trains headed by the ET22 electrics went up this way towards Knurów. I decided that before leaving the area we should check the loop by the Gierałtowice cabin a kilometre further back, which can be sighted from the main road at the far end of the village. There was a train there, leaving under a pall of black smoke. About turn, quickly - well as fast as village speed restrictions and traffic ahead would allow. As we approached this spot the train was already coming around the bend, picking up speed. Bouncing down the side road as far as I dared in our hired Fiat 500 convertible it was a case of jumping out, check the camera setting, compose and fire. This train was a bonus, double so with this loco as our intention had been to head straight for Knurów.

When Argent sleeps with her legs straight out, she forms a triangular shape, made especially evident with the contrasting blankets on our bed.

Argent sleeps in this pose quite a lot so she must feel very comfortable...

I decided to post something a little different today. This is a shot from the inside of City Hall looking up at the ceiling.

I wanted to capture a different point of view in this fabulous building after the usual posts of the spiral staircase (which I have also posted myself)

The triangular bell ringer lets people know that dinner is ready.

On Sunday 5th June 2016 the railway crossing at Sturry was closed while work was undertaken meaning routes 8/8A and the Triangle were diverted via Broad Oak and Vauxhall Avenue. This diversion however prevented the use of the new Enviro 400 MMC vehicles recently introduced on these routes and so for one day the old order returned!

Take two small steering wheels (2819) and graunch

three small handlebars (30031) , and you get a really compact triangular core perfect for clip-and-post style building techniques.
