A macro shot of a very small glass prism. I find that dust, fingerprints and imperfections in the glass become much more apparent when working close up but I'm not sure that is always a bad thing. I have used silver cards for both reflection and background with window light from the right hand side.

Cotton is a soft, fluffy staple fibre that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae.
The fibre is almost pure cellulose. Under natural conditions, the cotton bolls will increase the dispersal of the seeds.
Within 80–100 days after planting, the plant develops white blossoms, which change to a reddish colour.
The fertilised blossoms fall off after a few days and are replaced by small green triangular pods, called bolls, that mature after a period of 55–80 days.
During this period the seeds and their attached hairs develop within the boll, which increases considerably in size.
The seed hair, or cotton fibre, reaching a maximum length of about 6 cm (2.5 inches) in long-fibre varieties, is known as lint.
When ripe, the boll bursts into a white, fluffy ball...
Have a great day and thank you for your visit, so very much appreciated, Magda, (*_*)

TRIANGULAR is the topic for Thursday 3rd October 2019, Group Our Daily Challenge
for Monday Music Mania:
I`m walking
"This is a medium-sized bird species. It is characterized by a triangularly-shaped bill, which appears as if covering the entire front zone of the bird’s face, starting from the throat and reaching up to the forehead.
Breeding adult male blue grosbeaks display a deep, vivid, rich blue coloration overall. They have a tiny-sized black mask. The large beak is black-and-silver in color, and the wing bars exhibit a warm chestnut tone."

Confiding bird. Showed well.
A modern triangular staircase captured from above, in Hotel Zenit, Murcia, Spain showcasing sleek metal railings, sharp geometric lines, and a spiraling symmetry that draws the eye inward.

This week I'm going to bore you with some more abstract architecture shots from another wander around Plymouth city centre.
My city is a bit of a mess when it comes to architecture, there are all sorts of styles from 15th century buildings to modern office blocks and shopping malls and not all of it matches, But if you look a bit closer at some of them there are some great details to be seen.
As I was walking through town the other week I saw this facade on one of the buildings by the market so stopped to get a shot of these crazy triangles.

An archive shot from 2010 that should have been captured using RAW, but due to my naivety and part processing laziness, I shot it using Jpeg large.
As all experienced photographers know, you can only squeeze so much juice out of a jpeg, and if you want to extract the pith and the pips you should always shoot RAW. I lived and I learned and will never go back !
