It's actually a tetrahedron teething toy, but who wants to say that every time Asa drops it from the table? It's a neat little toy from Germany (Thanks Gloria!) that has many uses including balloon anchor. IMG_9670f

the stack is clamped with the edges to be cut facing up
the resulting edge will be perfectly parallel to the reamed holes.
Although very close this PLOP pattern is not an equilateral triangle.
making accurate triangles on a (manual) mill is tricky since you do not have parallel sides to clamp. here I am using holes that can be accurately places to index where the edge of the triangle should be
