Part of the Woodlawn grid runs diagonal to the main Portland city street grid, creating triangles where they intersect. This created this small triangle island at NE Morton, Bellevue, and 13th. But big enough for a house! House looks like it's from the 70s or newer.
3/4 I had planned a lunch hour with a telephoto to snap some hard to reach examples that I had spotted over a long period. En route I stumbled across three connecting roads called The Triangle near Oldfield Park: this was a sign for a launderette on one of the corners - Bath, UK

Peyote stitch triangle with 3 Swarovski turquoise bicones and reddish brown and turquoise delica beads - very earthy, very SouhWest. The triangle measures 2" on each side and hangs from an 18" cable choker with a screw clasp.
The earrings are listed separately. Each triangle on the earrings measure approximately 1.25" on each side and they hang on sterling silver earwires.

Assignment:
The goal of this assignment is to capture an image containing a triangle – either literal, abstract, or a composition composed of the three focal areas that allow the eye to travel around the image and hit on those areas. It doesn't necessarily have to be an equilateral triangle in the comp. A triangle can be used to position your main and secondary subjects in the frame as well as framing your main subject either subtly or in an obvious manner.
WIT: Just three flowers in a royal blue bottle to add some color to the composition. Lighting on the right side to get the blue glow from the bottle. Used pale yellow poster board as the base for a softer hue. Tried the comp on white poster board, but the contrast was too harsh. I also tried to get another triangle in the bottom left corner, but didn't quite succeed.

The first triangle web spider, Hyptiotes cavatus, that I have seen in years! Two of them, actually, on a cliff face along Snake Road in the LaRue-Pine Hills Research Natural Area, Illinois, USA, on October 12, 2023.
Inspired by a quilt done by Rachel at Stitched in Color, (www.flickr.com/photos/stitchedincolor/7606236634/in/pool-... looks likem maybe I should have taken her Handstitch class for this project) this was a fun project to sit down to. I got pretty good at saying, "I'll just do one more triangle before I stop." Now, I just need to find a pregnant person in my life who needs a mellow baby quilt.
The back is Kona Tarragon and I think I like it better than the busier front that has a polka dot fabric.
