If you put your hands together like this, our doggo comes running to smoosh her face into the hole. It forms a triangle so figured it fits. 😂

Taken on the Takumar 55 @ f8. Difficult to get perfect focus due to bad lighting and terrible eyes.

"TRIANGLE"

Displayed at The Weaver Project exhibition, managed by Anita Witt at her Artspace.

It's a project thought to honor William Weaver's work on SL photography and to show how tools he created give great opportunity to improve SL shots' quality and photographers' creativity.

Rain filled drain cover in the Walled Garden of Bicton College...the triangle is the British Kite Mark which is used to denote when something meets the grade. Look carefully and you can see the letters B and S that make up the kite...

Taken for this week's Macro Mondays theme of Triangle(s). This is an acrylic bauble; I tried various ways to photograph it. Lighting it directly wasn't terribly effective; it was difficult to get the light source in the right position to make the triangular surfaces visible. So I tried back-lighting and it was much more effective!

Scavenge Challenge - triangles.

These sets of triangles are actually further apart than they look. They show where you can pass with your small boat.

I enjoyed 5 Triangles shadow but recently these are removed and replaced. These are triangle shape lamp cover, now common type covers are attached on the wall. This was shocking new for me...

Macro Mondays theme : Geometry Shapes

Circles and triangles are two of the first geometry shapes we learn. In a two-dimensional geometry, a triangle is actually a polygon with 3 sides while a rectangle (or square) is also a polygon but with 4 sides.

Of course, the objects in my picture are three-dimensional. I used a mini-Springer (a miniature Slinky) to represent circles and cylinders while the triangular shape is actually a 4-sided triangular dice. I used a translucent paper to create different color shades in the background and the way the light was reflected a green triangle appeared in the frame. This was not planned but it did fit the theme! 😉

As a reference, the diameter of the mini-Slinky is 1 3/8”.

Every year during Gay Pride in San Francisco a large pink triangle is placed on Twin Peaks in full view of the city. Please feel free to go large to read the content of the sign.

From Wikipedia: German: Rosa Winkel) was one of the Nazi concentration camp badges, used by the Nazis to identify male prisoners in concentration camps who were sent there because of their homosexuality. Every prisoner had to wear a triangle on his or her jacket, the color of which was to categorize him or her according "to his kind." Jews had to wear the yellow badge, and "anti-social individuals" (which included vagrants, "work shy" individuals and often, but not exclusively, lesbians[citation needed]), the black triangle. The black triangle as a symbol of lesbian or feminist solidarity, a counterpart to the gay pink triangle, probably originated from the Nazi "asocial" black triangle.

The inverted pink triangle has become an international symbol of gay pride and the gay rights movement, and is second in popularity only to the rainbow flag.
