The light was low this morning, but I sort of like the flatter look - the downside is a very high ISO.
Went out to the pond this morning before starting the work day and found this tri-colored heron trying to eat breakfast. I liked how the pictures came out against the sun.

This tri-color heron was seen wading near the edge of a pond at Cypress Creek Natural Area in Jupiter, Florida.

Iceland Poppies, I love them, these are from my garden.
The petals are quite sheer, and very tender, indeed like butterfly wings. Their colours so vibrant, raindrops clinging on, yes, they were thrashed about by strong winds, a little damaged.

Cultivars come in shades of yellow, orange, salmon, rose, pink, cream and white as well as bi-coloured varieties.
Papaver nudicaule, the Iceland poppy also called Arctic poppy, is a boreal flowering plant.
Native to sub-polar regions of Europe, Asia and North America, and the mountains of Central Asia, (but not in Iceland)…
HERE IN COMBINATION with a vibrant blue budding cornflower or Centaurea.

All hunkered down and resting instead of being the long, tall, active birds that they are usually. This is across a little ponded area by the lake!
The Patterson Rail Motor Society's Tri State Tour with railcars NPF621 and NTC721 travels along near Bridgewater on 27th May 2022.
The trip started in Sydney and was traveling via Adelaide and Melbourne back to Sydney.
