Top completed September, 2005. Pattern from the book "The Modern Quilt Workshop".
Edited to add that I did eventually finish the quilting; picture here.
Adam www.flickr.com/photos/adambender/ spotted this while out on a photo drive. We shot this through the window of the car while trying to stay dry. damn rain......go away.
My son proclaimed this bedroom, which was assigned to the boys in the family, to be the place for Mommy and Daddy to sleep. I confess to serious consideration of a nap there after climbing the treehouse for the third time in one day.
My photographs of Peter Bahouth's (amazing!!) tree houses were featured in Jane Field-Lewis' latest book 'My Cool Shed' (London, 2012), after which they then went on to go viral (many times over), become an Air Bnb sensation and as of Jan 2016 have now been declared the "Most Desired Rental in the World'.

The Alnwick Gardens treehouse is huge. This is just a small section of the walkway with a rope bridge on the left. There's a cafe and restaurant up there as well! Look for the tree growing through the floor.
The treehouse at Alnwick castle. It sounds cooler than it is, basically there's a restaurant inside.

The former Canadian software developer turned carpenter built this stunning egg shaped tree house in the middle of the woods. Due to legal implications Allen will not disclose the exact location of the treehouse, seeing that is built on the Crowns land which is roughly government property. The home does reside somewhere in the luscious green landscape of Whistler, British Columbia.
I’ve passed this treehouse countless times and appreciated its whimsy, but I’m pretty sure this was the first time I’ve actually taken a picture of it. The fallen leaves inspired me to find an angle that could do it justice. Thankfully, there was no car parked in the spot where I need to be.
Long Beach, CA - I photographed these pieces of jewelry for Tangerine Treehouse, an independent maker here in Long Beach.
The setup was pretty simple but allowed for a nice studio look. The pieces were suspended above a flexed piece of matboard that created a cyclodrome and gradient. Light source was a single small softbox with a compact mirror on the bottom to add a little kick...

This raccoon was on the way down the tree when I came upon him (or her). I guess he decided better of the situation and climbed back up to safety. I had not encountered many raccoons until just recently when I had two such encounters within a few days of each other.
I've lived here for about 3 years and never knew this treehouse was in a yard behind me until today. This place is like a world away from the heavy traffic on Beach Blvd. a few feet away.
More of a cosy picture than an excellent shot. I might go back and take a better one. Still, don't you just want to climb it?
It was god damn freezing when I was trying to take this. Camera just held manually, five vertical frames stitched in Photoshop. More shots from the day on shesgotapassionforfashion.blogspot.com/2010/11/narnia.html

Treehouse
So about today ... 8 hours of hiking ... I got a sunburn in my face ... the wind was very strong again today, so 20m trees were breaking all around me ... now I'm hungry.
Lying in the grass looking up towards the deep blue sky I shot this treehouse.

Boys are playing in their treehouse as one boy hads their Westie to another in the treehouse.
Create an AI image prompt, in the artistic inspired Rockwell style, three little boys in a treehouse. A little boy on the ground is handing a basket with a White Westie puppy in it to a boy in the treehouse, leaning against the tree is a bicycle, a tire swing hangs from the tree, in the background is an old house with a white fence. aspect ratio vertical, nostalgic

the bottom dowel was glued to the base, then the spindles glued into the holes top and bottom and the top dowel was lued on the end. the pinions went all the way through the dowel so the top railing will be sanded smooth and a balsa veneer added, just like the other two
