Another night, another game of Minecraft. This time, a new treehouse that is constructed out of trees, not placed wood. All of the trees here have grown from the spot where I placed them. Bamboo and cactus outside keeps the bookshelves coming strong inside!

Small Original Treehouse By Lichee Toys
Lichee Toys are beautiful and unique handmade sustainable wooden toys which are all handmade using sustainable and recycled timbers in Vietnam.
The timber used is mainly from lychee trees hence the name of the toys. When the lychee trees in the orchard are no longer producing high amounts of produce they are taken out and replanted with new trees. The old trees are then used to make our toys.There is some acacia and other fruit and; nut tree prunnings used in making Lichee Toy blocks. The tongue and groove boards are made from surplus timber. They are very Eco friendly toys.
Each piece is handmade so there are variations on every toy. This makes them unique and individual. They are great heirloom pieces.
The toys are hand crafted in a Fair Trade workshop which employs many people in the local village giving opportunity and improving their quality of life.
Designed in Australia, these wooden toys are based on the philosophy of Rudolf Steiner. Steiner believed children should play using their imagination which is an important part of their early development. There is no right or wrong way to play with these toys – it is for the children to express their own feelings, use their imagination and create their own stories. The lovely texture and smell of the timber brings children back to playing with natural toys.
