My friend Ariana has an uncle that lives in a small town in the mountains north of Santa Cruz and he built this meditation treehouse. It's about twelve feet up and squished between these small redwoods. He's a great guy with a heart of gold.
(almost) every philly artist all together hanging out in our clubhouse
I've been holding on to this one for years, and slowly adding the whole crew!
This was taken during a ski trip this past weekend. It is a "treehouse" that the owner of the home built to enjoy the breathtaking views of the mountains surrounding his house. There was a nice sunset that night that I tried to catch in the windows of the treehouse.
Here's an up-close of some of the trees in the massive forest/city rendering I posted a few days ago. They're modified versions of the Lego Treehouse Lego released a while back.

I have to credit Flickr friend bjtales for the image I used to be the "nude" behind the couch! The pose and doll in that shot were just too perfect!
I finally found the time to put the railing on the treehouse, it still needs the top handrail board. I borrowed a nail gun, boy was that nice,I should have bought one years ago when I started this project. The opening in the railing is the location for the spiral staircase. Trying to figure out where to start the first step so that the last ends up properly keeps me awake at night. I had to take my shoes off and use my fingers and toes figuring out the math for the ballister spacing yesterday, LOL!! I failed at math all through Highschool, and my spellin ain't so good niether!
I made this 55cm tall treehouse cake for Boetie-Jan who turned 9!

so caringly and beautifully made, this soft bird nest is hanging by a necklace made of grasses and is as round and small as a tennis ball :)
wish i knew who created it ... am guessing the tiny green finches..
its hanging right outside the kitchen window ;) from a shrub taller than my house whose berries are bright orange when ripe
photographed in the evening, i still didn't want to use a flash and bother the birditas ..

Forgot about uploading these after that treehouse rendering, so here's one of the renders I forgot to post.

I was over by Milngavie last weekend doing some life drawing in a treehouse overlooking a loch, one of the best places I've ever drawn.
Afterwards we went swimming in the loch. It was surprisingly warm as there are not streams going in and out of the water so if its a sunny day the loch just heats up, heaven.
