The Treehouse Bar on Lonely Beach is built on stilts right over the water. The bar is attached to the massive Treehouse bungalow colony, which offers several rows of tightly packed cheap thatched accommodations. Has anyone coined the phrase "beach sprawl" yet? Anyway, it would have been a cool place for a cold beverage, but the bar was too packed.

We had a fun-filled Monday ~ Spring Break Day 1. While outside this shot was captured. Since the expression is "excitement", I asked Alex to give me 5 things that really made him excited. Here's what he said:
{1} The thought of getting a puppy (which sadly won't happen since we're both allergic).
{2} When he sees anything LEGO Aladdin (one he doesn't actually have).
{3} The anticipation of Santa Clause and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (thankfully they only come once a year).
{4} Anxiously awaiting LEGO Land to open in a nearby mall ~ Frisco, TX (he has a "Dad and Alex Date" planned).
{5} When he gets to go into ANY LEGO store (well, you can only imagine).

The power finally came back on late this afternoon. Good thing too, the poor treehouse was getting pretty cold and I was missing my tea. But at least there was a beautiful view to enjoy while I was shivering.
