Look carefully at how this tree is growing. It's roots are in the humus in the top part of the picture, then it grows down and out into the void over the canyon, turns and goes straight up into the air.
This past Wednesday morning was a very rainy overcast start to the day. I headed out on a bit of a tour through Rose Hill and Knutsford. Then through the Goose Lake Road area before heading home. As heading home I noticed the fog was lifting and the clouds were starting to break to the west of me so decided to head up to Greenstone Mountain. As heading up to the area I spotted this bright shaft of light coming through the scattering clouds and illuminating these trees. I had to turn my truck around and park and set up the camera as I had put it away. I managed to catch the last of this very localized light on the these trees in the valley below me.

Это дерево растет в Старой Гаване. Согласно старинной кубинской легенде, если три раза обойти вокруг дерева и три раза дотронуться ладонью до ствола, загадав при этом три разных желания, они непременно исполнятся. Дерево благодарят монетами - кубинскими куками. Монету нужно бросить на землю, где их уже целый склад, который сверкает среди извилистых корней, прочно удерживающих ствол в равновесии от постоянных набегов туристов.
