this is the magic tree at school. everyone calls it that because it looks like it's magic and we found an unopened toblerone on one the branches the other week so we went around giving chocolate to random people at school, it made people smile.

I´m Ai Enma.

Although not originally this way, Ai has a cold personality. Even in emotion-evoking situations, she doesn't appear moved in the least. Additionally, Ai is oddly silent and serious. She seems to only talk when the need arises, rarely speaking simply for the sake of it. In the event that Ai does talk out of ordinary circumstances, it is about something which she believes is necessary for someone to know, or to correct somebody where needed. The main reason for her introverted personality is due to her emotions being locked up when she was made into the Jigoku Shoujo.

I'm finally catching up on my posts. Things got really busy for me right after Christmas and I never got around to processing these shots. Better late than never.

Savanah got this Christmas Tree last year. Being that she got it on Christmas day, we decided to wait until Christmas Eve this year to open it up and use it.

You pour the "magic" water into the base and in twelve hours it grows crystal leaves. Even though we told Savanah that it would take twelve hours, she kept checking on it every few minutes. The rest of us weren't much better.

If we ever do a tree thing like this again I think I might try and time lapse it. We'd have to set it up earlier in they day though. I wasn't about to camp out in Kathy's parent's kitchen over night snapping a picture every 30 minutes are so.

I know it's nowhere near Christmas right now but a Christmas tree is perennially beautiful.

Delphina Audina let us know that a budgie hike was in progress at the B&B SIM. When we arrived, Betty Rogan and friends came storming down the heathered hills as a flock of budgies and surrounded us, doing the tiny river dance. I've never laughed so hard in my life. Immortalis decided to treat Delphina to his own version of a "living tree" performance, wearing our old oak and stomping around. I was nearly in tears with all the feathers flying. Every day is more and more surreal.

This tree was called the Magic Tree. The staff that ‘worked’ here hung music players from the branches to drown out the noise of the murders. They blasted revolutionary songs to celebrate the Khmer Rouge and new Cambodia… as they murdered the innocent.

On the site of the Cheong Ek “killing fi elds” outside Phnom Penh, a large tree

stands. During the Khmer Rouge regime large speakers were attached to that tree

over which loud music was played during the executions in order to mask the sounds

of the nocturnal mass murders, including the screams and moans of the dying

victims. It was called the “Magic Tree.”

Members of our coop string lights in the outdoor trees. In the first snow, they lit up the night with magic. Around every corner lurked Lucy's "wardrobe" and the slight chance we'd spot Tumnus darting along.

Snaps and I went in search of the sunset over the city and instead found this, an incredible location to shoot monks in training, kids in the fire and monkeys in the trees.

Magic stuff and the type of experience that makes all the travel, all the bumpy hours in the back of ramshackle buses and the mud butt more than worth it.

The executed were buried in mass graves. In order to save ammunition, the executions were often carried out using poison, spades or sharpened bamboo sticks. In some cases the children and infants of adult victims were killed by having their heads bashed against the trunks of Chankiri trees. The rationale was "to stop them growing up and taking revenge for their parents' deaths.
