A moody misty view on one of the trails leading through Hillock Wood. It was a misty tree lovers paradise that morning, many more to come from this outing.
In the mist, under the trees
Blown along, by the breeze
Love does rest, love does fly
Across the mist covered sky
Where under the trees, lovers stand
Lost in their very secret land
Under the trees , in the mist
Where lips they meet, lips are kissed
The mist it descends like a cloud
Footsteps they echo, shout out loud
Silence it wraps, close and tight
As the fog and light do fight
For the rulership of the sky
As the mist does cloud a eye
On the path where love does walk
The birds are so silent, do not talk
Footsteps they echo, call out loud
Lovers disappear into the mists mysterious cloud

"This is a wonderful day. I've never seen this one before". Maya Angelou
Have a wonderful day my friends! For me it is an special day: 8 years ago I saw the eyes of my son for the first time, took his little hands and everything changed.
I'm a happy mom!
This forest is so special since I was walking there with him.
Well, I like the majestic beauty of an tree like this. I think it is a Common Oak (European Oak, Quercus Robur, zomereik, Stieleiche, Chêne Pédonculé) and this one too was growing on Offa's Dyke near Chirk Castle, Wales.
Avenue of Honour Mt Macedon.
The perfect autumn day for lovers and dreamers________and me.

Everyone knows about the Sunrise and Paradise entrances into Mount Rainier National Park, those who enjoy the long beautiful drive go around to the Stevens Canyon entrance, but the lonely forgotten washed out Carbon River entrance is still there, you just have to walk it. I'm not fond of this pic, but it does show what the hike in looks like walking through 800 year old Douglas Firs. It's dark and where the light beams in the rays cause magic steam. the boughs hundreds of feet above you creek and a lot of them are falling. Moss inches thick covers the ground and down trees and more trees grow out of them. It's a tree lovers paradise as long as there isn't any wind. You walk on what was once the road which follows the river so it's sound is ever present and small waterfalls can be heard inland as well. It's damp, it was cold, the smell was amazing and my face still hurts from smiling. More (and better) shots to come.
blow it up large and take a look around. :-)
It's sometimes difficult to photograph in the summer where the greens of the trees create a uniformity in the scene. Look for contrasts and light that isolates a tree. "Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees." John Muir
This place is the first one I visit every time I need to slow down and have a peaceful moment. Hoyt Arboretum at Portland.
Just 15 mins from home!
This evening along Sunset Cliffs here in San Diego, California. Two surfer slings hang from this wonderful tree and two lovers down the path overlooking ocean's edge.
I passed by my first love's home she lived in when we dated on the way...

There's a breathless hush on the freeway tonight
Beyond the ledges of concrete
Restaurants fall into dreams with candlelight couples
Lost Alexandria still burns in a billion light-bulbs
Lives cross lives idling at stoplights
Beyond the clover-leaf turn-offs
Souls eat souls in the general emptiness
A piano concerto comes out a kitchen window
A yogi speaks at Ojai 'It's all taking place in one mind'
On the lawn among the trees lovers are listening for the master to tell them they are one with the universe
Eyes smell flowers and become them...
"In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks" John Muir
This is the beautiful Wildwood trail in the Forest Park at Portland. We are so blessed to have this place close to home.
This was part of a beautiful hike with my son inspired by a book he is reading. We had a great time together walking 13km (about 8 miles) exploring just a part of this trail that is 30 miles long.
Ok maybe the little girl that still lives in my heart has so much imagination haha but it looks like a fairy house in the woods :-)
The beginning of a new day. Sunrise across the Berkshire/ Hampshire border. Shot was taken on a site where in the 1676 a man and a woman, were executed for the murder of the man’s wife and child , in an attempt to cover up the affair the man and woman were having.
Muir Woods National Monument is a unit of the National Park Service on the Pacific coast of southwestern Marin County, California, 12 miles north of San Francisco and part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. When John Muir learned that William and Elizabeth Kent were naming a redwood forest near San Francisco in his honor, he declared, "This is the best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world." The couple had purchased the land to preserve its beauty and restful wilderness; and in 1908, they donated it to the federal governent to protect it from destruction.
Snow time is minimalism time!
I was searching for a place like this for quite some time. Love the nearly endless rows of fences that put the tree lovers apart. Wish you all a wonderful week! :o)
