'When John Muir learned that William and Elizabeth Kent were naming a redwood forest near San Francisco in his honor, he declared, "This is the best tree-lovers monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world." The couple had purchased the land to preserve its beauty and restful wilderness; and in 1908, they donated it to the federal government to protect it from destruction.'

this is very cool, must have been tree lovers

Sycamore (plane) tree, lovers edition. I always wondered why it is so popular for carving hearts-arrows-names on it. It just asks for troubles itself.

Why do some people think it is cute when lovers carve their names into a tree? I personally think taking a knife on a date is a bit creepy.

I slept well last night! Today we walked through the winter sunshine in Sefton Park to Lark Lane for breakfast at Greendays. We saw this couple enjoying the sunshine too.

Greendays was very busy and we had to wait to be served, but it was worth it.We enjoyed breakfast.I did a bit of shopping on Lark lane , got a lovely silk flower to make a card for Lucy. We enjoyed the walk back ,although it was getting colder. I came home to discover that I had sold seven of ten items I had listed on ebay. Very Happy.I love buying and selling on ebay.I packed up all the items ready to be posted as soon and I receive payment.

Had a long skye chat with Mary my cousin in SA,she is so sad about Auntie Isa being in a home and not being too well.

I went over to Beth's with her gift from Manchester, but alas she was not there.Maybe tomorrow.John is busy with kindle , it turns out that we were registered in Spain and that was causing trouble buying from Kindle store.David is loving Hong Kong, David John Johnny and their friend are all getting together soon to discuss Folio( there idea for a film about Shakespeare.
