An act of observation being done by a tree captured in a photo.

Funny how a single subject can become the focus of a project. This tree capture my imagination. Something about the way it twists around itself. I have become fixated on how best to capture it. One day I’ll get it.

Shot from the left side of fallen tree. Captured tree trunk and upended root ball.

Most trees are vertical. My tree is horizontal.

"TRIANGULATION"

the mundane appears to be // until you change it

A sun that has set behind the hills leaves those on the ground in shade but still streams light through the tips of the tree tops able to reach up and touch it. ||

Some fungi growing at the base of a tree. Captured at Mount Lamington National Park.

In this environmental portrait, I mocked the photography of William Henry Fox. The specific picture I attempted to portray was his photography from the countryside in which he chose to photograph a tree. Most of his naturalistic photos are taken vertically I was able to contrast and catch the detail of each branch and twig due to the natural lighting behind the tree, sunlight was being provided by the sun. Henry Fox Was also known for taking pictures of plants in front of a plain back drop and taking pictures of Paris and oxford, such as buildings. While mimicking his unique photography style I realized that in his tree captures it is clear and evident that he uses environmental techniques, this was found because of the backdrop and scenery in the tree image. The background is white which allows the black twigs, branches, and silhouette of the tree to stand out more.

This screen capture was taken through the Cornell Lab of Ornithology great blue heron cam.

Checking out the camera on the iphone6+ today. Not bad me thinks.

There was something very captivating about this angel, the light shinning through the trees captured my imagination
