Tree captured in Liquid Lens. Run through WordFoto with slashes for the word and then Decim8. Half of the result cropped and flipped to get a mirror image and then put into PolyMagic to compose the new mirrored image.
A pair of ravens perch high in the branches of a barren cottonwood tree in spring as new leaves open on other nearby trees.
Captured in Indian Battle Park along the shores of the Oldman River in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.
You can also purchase Greeting Cards or Prints at RedBubble.
In the shadow of a massive old Birch springs a Spruce sapling out of the root system of the elder tree. Captures the evolutionary energy of the forest.
NYC: Central Park / Juvenile Redtail Hawk
Juvenile redtail hawk in Central Park, west of the lake (mid-70's)
(During third hour, followed hawk as it flew from tree to tree, captured and ate a large mouse / small rat—all in low light. I'd put away the gear when it flew to this streetlight—quick shot before heading to dinner.)

The Statue of Liberty and a nearby flowering tree captured on Kodak Portra 400 film. The deep hue of the sky was from a polarization filter.
Can you imagine how dark it is down there on the ground while the trees capture the light 30m above you? About 20% of the sunlight reach the ground - I wish I had a really fast zoom lens for this!
We spotted this in a yard on highway 123. According to local lore, bottle trees capture evil spirits. For some reason, these spirits are attracted to the color blue.

I've previously photographed these trees along the lake at the ANZAC War Memorial in Sydney. People are constantly carving their names into the trees.
Captured 8 July 2008 | Canon IXUS 90 IS | f4.5 @ 1/800 sec.
