An old dead tree near Troutbeck head in the lake district. I found the shape interesting

A misty day on Dartmoor the tree, rocks and granite post give an impression of the moorland bleakness.
“TREE HOUSE
A tree house, a free house,
A secret you and me house,
A high up in the leafy branches
Cozy as can be house.
A street house, a neat house,
Be sure to wipe your feet house
Is not my kind of house at all-
Let's go live in a tree house.”
― Shel Silverstein
I am usually going crazy trying to photograph these birds in flight, this is the first time I have gotten a decent shot of them on a perch. If the post looks familiar it is because I have posted numerous shots of different birds on it. Hopefully one day I will get a decent flight shot of a Swallow, until then this is the best I can hope for.
This beautiful little Tree Swallow had a beak full of bugs.

These are not mine but "Just Called Me Michael's" who is having computer woes. These are entries for Take Aim's Dramatic Tree/s challenge. You can comment, and once Mike gets his issues resolved, he can see them.
A lone tree stands in the churchyard at Lower Benefield looking out the surround Northamps countryside.
I was in the middle of installing a dryer vent in the rain, when the sun suddenly appeared. My first thought: Rainbow! Sure enough, there was a huge one. But my neighborhood isn't really good composition with a rainbow, so I hopped in the car and raced downtown.
The rainbow disappeared just as I was parking. :(
So I shot this instead. I kind of feel like I'm in that HDR hole:

Processing:
18 photos total (6 positions, 3 exposures each). Imported into Lightroom to remove vignette and lens distortion. Exported to Photomatix for HDR processing (Painterly preset with natural light). Merged all the HDRs in Photoshop into the panorama and added a high pass filter (with hard light blending) for a little sharpness. Imported back into LR3 and added vignette.

It's not too often you can shoot Animal Kingdom at night. I highly recommend it if you ever get the opportunity. The park definitely takes on a different vibe at night and it's lit beautifully.
