Buttermere lone tree - been done loads, the most photographed tree in the Lakes i hear. What a pain to find in the dark too especially when we took the wrong track and ended heading to Crummock Water lol thankful we made it. Had 2 ol the elements needed for a good shot but sadly missed the 3rd (no Clouds) had the wind and the sun rising in the right place for the colour. I will return and do again in a couple of weeks.
Tree wrapped in lace on centre island Toronto.
I have been corrected... this tree is on Wards Island.
A huge old tree has to come down for safety reasons, so sad to watch, could be almost 100 years old.
Joshua tree at night. With incredibly clear skies and coyote howling in the background, being here in the darkness with my girlfriend (who is incredibly patient when I am out taking photos) - this was an amazing experience.
This red winged blackbird was photographed perched in a tree top at Pine Glades Natural Area near Jupiter, Florida. See this, and more, on my website at www.tom-claud.pixels.com.
It must be nearly spring - Bibi's tree has sprouted new branches and leaves. Will be adding some birds and owls now! more pics to follow. xx
Another tree outside the cabin we stayed at in western Pennsylvania. Leica R4, Kodacolor 100, ECN-2 development.
Handsome aerialists with deep-blue iridescent backs and clean white fronts, Tree Swallows are a familiar sight in summer fields and wetlands across northern North America. They chase after flying insects with acrobatic twists and turns, their steely blue-green feathers flashing in the sunlight. Tree Swallows nest in tree cavities; they also readily take up residence in nest boxes.

In Inkoo is Fägervik, old factory museum and there was this tree. The shape is interesting, nature is amazing.
Bare tree in early spring in the garden of the National Botanical Conservatory of Brest in the midst of the Stang-Alar valley.

The ubiquitous Cholla Cactus in Joshua Tree - they're everywhere! They're also known as "jumping cactus" because the spikes have a seemingly magical ability to reach out and grab your skin or clothing - my shins still have a few scars from ones I missed. I love the way their spikes catch early morning and late afternoon rays.
