This is a macro photo of one of those tiny Christmas trees that light up when you plug it into a USB port.
My tree it grows so big, so tall
When i hear, your sweet call
On the breeze, through my branches
Your sweet love, always dances
Your hands wrapped around my hard trunk
In in your wet ground my root is sunk
Until it reaches , you very core
Where you plead, that you want more
As i spread across your field
To my advances , you do yield
Under my ever spreading branches
Your heart jumps and it dances
My tree, it grows so big and tall
Whenever i hear, your loving call

London plane tree is a hybrid cross of American sycamore and Oriental planetree. It is a large deciduous shade tree that is generally pyramidal when young and becomes open and spreads with age. It may grow to a height of 70 to 100 feet tall and 60 to 75 feet wide. The light brown outer bark exfoliates to reveal a creamy olive inner bark. The leaves are alternate, 3 to 5 lobed, medium to dark green, and may have coarse marginal teeth. The flowers bloom in clusters in the spring and are not particularly showy. The male flowers are yellow, and the female flowers are reddish. The female flowers produce a fuzzy, rounded, bristly fruit ball that ripens to brown in October. The fruits tend to persist through the winter. The tree is a member of the Platanaceae family.

You barely notice these trees when they are in full leaf, but come winter, they really do stand out. Not to be confused with the Birch Tree which is also very white. Everytime I see one like this I think of the song " Dream a little dream of me" by Mama Cass Elliot : www.youtube.com › watch
