Looked outside this evening, saw the moon and had to shoot it. While doing so, I heard a screech owl calling, and saw it fly, silhouetted by the streetlight.
A beautiful and shy bird that one rarely gets to see in Virginia. There are only two reliable spots in the state: Blandy Experimental Farm and Occoquan Bay NWR. This bird was at Blandy, in the company of a couple dozen white-crowned sparrows, with a few fields, songs, and white-throats.

Working with multiple exposures in camera lately, allowed me to discover a new creative path full of possibilities and inspiration. Still need lots of practice, but I really enjoy the whole procedure so far!
