our guide told us that not even dead woods are removed form the forest and are left to decay. this helps more life. like this tree stump on which tree mushrooms are growing.

The locust is one of the last flowering trees to bloom in Spring here on Cape Cod. Their scraggly branches, after just popping with their tiny round leaves, are now covered with these beautiful ultra-fragrant white blooms. Like grape Pez candy!
