Shot for Macro Mondays, theme "Trash"

Happy MM everybody

[... most things in our today's world ...]

Here is my contribution the the Macro Mondays theme of "Trash'..

One mans trash is another man’s treasure. Although these roses were dropping all their petals there was still beauty to be found. It almost hurt to throw them away.

In die Mülltonne mit dem Kleid. ;-)

Into the trash can with the dress. ;-)

I guess we can call this a rust bucket -- the car that is! It was placed out between two house sitting with trash all around it.

To me this is gold!

Was going to make a third pocket at the bottom and put a seam through the middle of it to divide it into two compartments (ie, to hold my portable GPS on one side and whatever else on other), but then I realized that a third pocket would cover kitty, and since I had already mistakenly cut the head off of kitty on the main pocket, I couldn't have that.

I also realized that I should have just cut one long binding for the main pocket instead of two (binding fabric got super thick and became difficult to sew, but I managed it), but whatever.

I didn't have a buckle and didn't want to go buy one, so it just slips over the headrest. I also plan to swing it around to the front of the passenger seat backrest for easy access when I don't have anyone sitting there. Plan to keep all my papers/junk mail that I take to work to shred in it since I usually just keep them in a paper bag, and, well, that's just not pretty.

The binding is from a vintage fabric lot I bought on eBay, but the main fabric is leftover from a curtain I made, and it just so happened to be almost the perfect size, so I was delighted to see it go to good use since it's just that awesome. After taking pictures, I realize I need to trim my thread stragglers.

I might just need to make another one for the back of the driver's seat. And one for my hub's truck. And now my friend, Ali, wants one. eek. I've created a monster.

In an otherwise unspoiled riverbed, a great deal of trash was left by inconsiderate campers. This photo shows only half of what was left behind.

The spoiled campsite is 100 yards away from the beaver dam.

We saw this cutie just hanging onto a tree while hiking at Gibraltar Rock. There was another one sleeping in the tree to the right. So adorable!

I think its time to trash this cable...

It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it. As far as chores go, taking out the trash is an easy one. Looks like Misa and Ryuuhei are on trash duty this week...

better in large

when i walked around in order to find trash for the macro monday theme, i finally found this: a broken piece of glass on wet pavement in the eveneing sunlight. i think it doesn't look like trash ... more like a trasure :)

happy MM!

This morning in our neighborhood is trash day. So I always get up early with my son to get all the trash together, throw the trash cans in my pickup truck, then drive them down to the main street where they do the collecting. But, in the middle of taking out the trash, I saw this hot air balloon taking off from a new place behind our house! I threw down the trash and ran over to get my camera!

I found a nice bunch of cut flowers in a trash bin while on a walk today.

Although it looks like a misshapen inverted metallic mushroom. I believe it is a tiny metal rivet. I am not sure where it came from, some piece of clothing or an accessory of some kind. I found it on my bedroom floor when I stepped on it in my bare feet, letting out a yelp that would make any LEGO treader proud. It's tiny but carries a big bite!! As soon as I was done photographing it, I THREW IT IN THE TRASH!!!

Caught this guy with the trusty ole Havahart trap after a few nights of tripping and raiding my trashcans. Put him in the back of the truck and drove him down the road a few miles to a nice wooded area and set him free so he can terrorize someone else's trashcans.

Such pretty trash.

At home the trash can in the kitchen has a lid.

Down at the shore, it does not.

Pearl discovered this pretty quickly!

She fished an empty dog food can out, peeled the label off and polished off every last crumb stuck on the inside.

Yeah.......time to get a trashcan with a lid down here!

catch up with everyone tonight.....it's a beautiful day out......I'm gone! Bye Bye!

This time a Union Pacific trash train runs along Tacoma docks.
