Goat transport.

Unfortunately, I had to take the photo through a car window, which was darkened with scratched plastic film.

Between 1877 and 1891, 77 of these classic 0-6-0s were built by Beyer, Peacock and Company (59) and local manufacturer, Henry Vale and Company (18), for the New South Wales Government Railways as the Z19 class.

Over half the class had already been withdrawn by the mid-1930s, but a handful survived into the last year of steam in NSW, shunting Port Waratah (Newcastle) and Darling Harbour (Sydney). 1955 was seen working at the latter in early 1971.

This was built as an entry for a contest run by KLUG. The brief demanded a craft fit to carry at least four minifigs in their quest to colonize the galaxy.

I played a bit loose with the rules with this scout transport that carries all the necessary supplies to set up a temporary base on some distant moon or planet before signaling to Rebel HQ for reinforcements.

The design is inspired by Rogue One concept art from @ryanchurchart for the U-wing. I’ve tried to present my LEGO version as it can be seen in the Art of Rogue One book compiled by @philszostaksf

I have to say thanks to Inthert as his U-wing instructions really jump started this project with the troop bay design.

Jake RF and his U-wing project really helped inform a lot of the wing structure on this thing too.

Third cousin of the old Trade Federation's C-9979 landing craft, the D88 was a smaller but more armoured version, designed and built during the Galactic Civil War. The Vorpon factories could not replicate the precision manufacturing of Haor Chall Engineering but then they didn't want to. What was needed was a much simpler and tougher ship, designed to endure use in a warzone. Initially tested by the Rebellion, the ship was evaluated and found to be too slow and was replaced with the GR-75.

Just off Route 66, this historic Transcontinental Air Transport building languishes in obscurity in the empty desert outside of Barstow.

T.A.T. "represented a new way of thinking about aviation. Unlike airmail carriers, T.A.T. was to be an airline for passengers: It would carry them in luxury and comfort and its revenue would come solely from their fares, not from the lucrative government contracts that supported

airmail.

On July 7, 1929 [the airline] opened at the push of a button, to national acclaim.

The Los Angeles Times hailed the airline with the headline 'Chapter Added to Aviation History.'

But a year later, T.A.T. was gone. Without the subsidy of airmail contracts, the

airline lost money on every flight."

The building in Barstow morphed into an ignominious poultry farm.

Few remember the grand passenger airline.

An interesting arrangement on these Solos in the early days... Two ticket machines!!

I can only assume the white one was a throwback to independent Pathfinder as the red Almex A90s were used in Nottingham for years....

IWL SR Wiesel, 1958
