I placed this Dahlia directly in front of the sun to get this effect and it was some what effective, and Im thinkin I like it to:)

Abbey's hat is seriously perplexing to me. It really is quite fabulous, but it only lays right, to me at least, when Abbey's hair is in the default style. Not to mention how hard the true color is to capture on film. See that purple area of Abbey's suit? That's closer to the hat's actual color!

The forces of winter have nearly dissolved this leaf's lamina, leaving the rib and veins like a skeleton on the crystals of melting snow.

Translucent and white, one can see the blood vessels through the skin there on its back... I also liked the velvet blue water reflection here.
