The tram sheds, which have served transport companies since 1881, are finally being knocked down. There were three sections, two have already been knocked down, and to the left of the photo, the last section remains.
To the right, offices and service area.
After demolition, the area will be resurfaced and left as an open space. This is to house all the Transdev fleet from intack and manner sutton street. Although manner sutton street is to be kept open for vehicle refurbishment
As two sections are under demolition, they cannot be used, meaning buses have to be parked elsewhere. At the back of the depot, is a glorious line up of all the Leyland double deckers in many different liveries.
After peak time through until midnight, it is pretty much every bus for itself, as there is so little room to park! The shunters are currently moving all the pictured buses anywhere they can, the B10s are parked in the staff carpark just to give you a picture of space shortage!
In the morning, buses have to do a lap of the depot just to get out.

Transdev Blazefield acquired the Yorkshire Tiger business from Arriva on 25 July 2021 along with depots at Elland and Waterloo. A new Transdev Blazefield subsidiary, Team Pennine, was established to take over the Yorkshire Tiger operations and a two-tone pink livery designed by Best Impressions was adopted.
For the launch of Team Pennine, Transdev Blazefield acquired six Alexander Dennis E20D/Enviro 200 buses, which were refurbished and repainted in the new livery. These buses featured seats covered in Transdev’s bespoke moquette with leather headrests, free Wi-Fi, USB charging points and next -stop announcements. Five of the refurbished buses carried Denby Darts branding for route D1 linking Huddersfield, Skelmanthorpe and Denby Dale which replaced Yorkshire Tiger route 233 while the sixth was in generic Team Pennine livery.
Two of the refurbished buses were displayed to the public in Huddersfield on 23 July 2021. One of them was 747 (P77 TDV) in generic Team Pennine livery. This bus was new to Menzies, Heathrow in July 2016 and was originally registered YX16 ODF.

This route extends from here to Whitby every few hours, that particular section enjoys immeasurable pleasantness and is well worth the journey.
