Transdev services reach Preston from East Lancashire. Here a Volvo B9TL/ WE Gemini 2 leaves on a 152 service to Blackburn and Burnley.
I did have a bit of a problem with pedestrians in this location, they clearly carry on walking and expect vehicles to stop! Hence the varied positioning of vehicles in the pictures as I waited for people to clear.
My attempt at Transdev 3601 X1 VTD Red Express livery.
In April 2016, some of the refurbished Harrogate 36 buses transferred to Intack to work on the X41 Blackburn to Manchester. The route also got a brand refresh, formally "The Lancashire Way" but now "The Red Express".
The model is a Gemini mark 1, but with modelling filler applied to the front to create a Gemini mark 2 front end. The interior is also repainted to the red seats and hand rails. The livery was easy to do and ends up quite striking, they certainly do stand out in the busy Manchester city centre.
Each bus also feautres different adverts on the rear advertising the times of last buses to the new features on board such as free wifi and usb charging points.
