Realised at about eleven thirty that I hadn't taken any photos. Stepped outside to try and capture something vaguely nocturnal. This pedestrian crossing light seemed to capture the mood. Slow down. Don't panic. Wait. Rushing doesn't always get you where you want to get to. Besides tomorrow might be Monday, but its half term so no need to live by the alarm clock.
This light just one night ago was malfunctioning with both the red and green lit simultaneously. The light still functioned corrected, but the red light was stuck in the on position. Within 24 hours it was fixed, although I would have wanted to capture it.
On my way to work after just over an hour of conversation with a friend from way back, one with whom I'd not spoken in years. That's one reason I say we keep the internet around at least a little longer, it provides an environment in which such reconnects are not only possible, but easy as well. Time to go earn the paycheck though.
If like me you consider Kinneir and Calvert to be great artists then every street is like a gallery. Obviously this is a good thing.
