Just over six months ago I posted a shot of an uncompleted shop frontage in central Manchester. I'm pleased to report that, after a long period of inactivity, the workmen reappeared, the glass and steel is all in place and the ugly hoarding with all the tatty fly-posters has gone. However there is currently nothing on the inside, other than a rather displaced traffic lights unit and associated bracket laid out flat on the floor, divorced from the metal pole that once supported them and still in the ground outside.

I really liked these traffic light timers. They should fit them on all traffic lights which don't make decisions based on traffic levels.
Thanks to 'Brad TL' for letting me explore his collection! He even managed to acquire two G+W Eagle light-up 'No Left Turn' signals with fluorescent tubes!
Mister Sifter sold me songs
when I was just sixteen
Now he stops at traffic lights
but only when they're green
Oh, shake along with me!

Sometimes the most mundane, everyday things just catch my attention. The way the light from the street light lighted up the traffic light's housing while the red light was lighted was the condition that caught my attention.
I was interested to see that there is a small set of lights beneath the main lights. These have been provided for cyclists but I can't think why. Small sets of lights like this is standard practice in France, doing away with another set of lights further on.
Older 4-Way flashing red signal in Sallisaw, OK. Note how the signal appears to be 4 separate segments.
I made this in piskelapp.com, an animated GIF maker. These are some of the traffic lights that exist, does not exist (my creativity), and some from other sources.
