We walked for a while with this woman and her horse taking trade goods from Lo Manthang in Mustang, to Marpha along the Kali Gandaki River, Annapurna Circuit, Nepal.

Acadia Traders
New France hamlet, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, Williamsburg, VA
The Acadia Traders gift shop opened in winter 2016, featuring a selection of Canada-based merchandise and a wine tasting bar. The building was originally used as The Country Store Candle Shop, a store selling hand-carved candles that opened with the park in May 1975. It became The Bitter Root Company Store in 1984, though it appears that the candle carver still occupied a smaller portion of the salesfloor. The entire building became candle carver space again in the early 2010s when it was converted to The Village Candle Carver, which was relocated here in winter 2016.

This tiki bar at the Disneyland Hotel was fantastic, and shows that actually it's even better to go to Disneyland as a grownup. I had a "Hippopoto-mai tai". At 2pm. No judgment allowed, I'm on vacation.
Nepal Photo Blog 15/02/11
Now that I have improved internet, I'm trying, as of yesterday, to post a daily photo blog about the life and times here. Obviously this wont be possible when I'm working in some mountain and jungle areas but sometimes I feel the link between politics and the environment is generally misunderstood.
Tibetan traders beside Lake Phewa (Phewa Tal) in Pokhara are common. The Tibetan refugee situation in Nepal is a complex one. Nepal, sandwiched between the huge powers of China and India, has developed firm policies regarding Tibetans and the ramfications are not always pleasant.
Nepal, is a land of resources, much much water...could it become another Tibet? What would be the environmental consequences?
