The ship Maritime Trader was moored alongside the Hamilton Ontario Waterfront Trial when I was in the area a week ago. The rusted, many-times-painted hull offered many opportunities for conventional images as well as more abstract ones like this. This is a tight frame on what appears to be some kind of rub strip along the side. Noticed on Hamilton FG that some others have discovered the ship too. - JW
Taken using a hand-held Nikon D5000 (in the rain which is why the colours are so vivid) fitted with an 18-55mm kit lense set to 40mm, ISO640, Aperture priority mode, f/8.0, 1/13 sec. PP in GIMP: minimal tone curve adjustment to slightly darken the image overall, sharpen, add border and crop to 1024 wide for posting

We decided to go to a Luau show (traditional Hawaiin show with the hula dancers, warrior story telling etc). Before the show began there was a little market outside with locals selling various traditional locally manufactured curios. This chap was selling cooking spices with a Hawaiin flavour.. I told him to look serious before shooting this. I gladly purchased some of his wares after taking his portrait.
Ocmulgee Traders in Macon is a small downtown Grocery / Upstairs cafe. This is what has taken place in part of one of these old buildings. This whole block and several others around it has been renovated. This is only a small section of what is actually the complete building. This shot here is a closer shot of Ocmulgee Traders.

This beats the one on Court Street in Brooklyn that used to be a bank was the most interesting rework, but this beats it.
I have two now of these Trader Vic's trading license..just neat to have..1944 is the date on this one..the other is dated 1953..

During a visit to the Immingham Port Centenary open day spotted the 'Falcon Trader' tied up at the Van Dalen Scrap Treminal. Built in 1993, the Falcon Trader is a dry bulk carrier, registered under the Liberian flag and is some 167m long.
Photos taken on January 3, 2009 of the the new Trader Joes in Westwood. Located directly across the street from the former Bullock*s (later Macy*s) Department Store in Westwood. The former Bullock*s was subdivided into an EXPO Design Center, Ralphs Fresh Fare Supermarket, Best Buy Electronics and a Longs Pharmacy Drug Store. Longs closed their store at this location about two years ago. Longs was located on the roof of the complex in the former Restaurant/Beauty Salon Section.
The new Trader Joes is on a site that originally was a massive parking lot. The original plan for the site included a Ralphs Supermarket and other major retail components. Also included was housing. After several years of talks between the City and neighbors, the site is now a massive row of housing with retail on the bottom floor, including this new Trader Joes. The Ralphs finally built a new store in the former Bullock*s Department Store Building. This entire area is within walking distance of UCLA.

I went to Toy Trader in Langley, the largest independent toy store in BC. They had these incredible toy dioramas that were super awesome!

‘Tesco plan refused’ in Preston, Lancashire – campaigning works! 25th January 2008
This example is significant as it demonstrates that council officers are able to reject plans on the basis of "adverse impact on the vitality and viability of nearby local centres and retail provision".
Traders and residents around the Lane Ends area of Ashton in Preston have expressed their relief that plans for a new convenience store have been rejected.
They had submitted a petition with 1,000 signatures and 317 letters of objection against the Tesco Convenience store planned for the site of the former HSS Lift and Shift base near Tulketh Mill.
Today council officers rejected the plan due to the insufficient parking provision and because it would have an “adverse impact on the vitality and viability of nearby local centres and retail provision” within the area'.
Tesco tried again a few years later and somehow won and here is the store today. Since it's been open 'numerous incidents' of trouble have been reported to the police and Tesco have had their alcohol licence reviewed
