This is what I expect to see when I order a Trader Vic Daiquiri. I adore Trader Vic's LA, but that frozen slush they brought out was not what I had in mind.

I went to Toy Trader in Langley, the largest independent toy store in BC. They had these incredible toy dioramas that were super awesome!

I was waiting in the carpark for a friend; taking pictures, as you do.
When a man approached me dressed normally no sign of ID or high vis waistcoats or peaked cap.
"Why are you taking pictures?" he asked.
"Cos I'm a photographer!" I replied
He says "Well I hope you haven't been taking pictures or car number plates and stuff"
"No I haven't" said I (as I hadn't at that point) and I showed him the pictures that I had taken.
Now had I been up for an arguement I could point out that there are no privacy laws on public land.
Satisfied he went up the stairs and onto the boat and I took the pic of the DB7 in a fit of pique.
down to the butter and cracked black pepper! On weeknights, when I don't have anything prepared beforehand, I can always count on Trader Joe's! Tonight we had the breaded panko tilapia fillets, Brittany Blend (veggies . . . waxed green beans & baby carrots), and the "Risi e bisi" rice which I made using TJ's jasmine rice, petite peas, garlic, butter, olive oil and cracked black pepper. Everything on this plate is from TJ's except for the "Italian parsley." Dinner was ready in less than an hour! ;-)

the long line just to get in the new trader joe's. this was at around 4 o'clock on a weekday. i'd estimate the line was about 30-40 people deep. it's been nearly two weeks since opening and the crowds still haven't let up. as someone raised in california, where there are plenty of tj stores for everyone, i find this pretty funny.
