Short-eared owl hunting in the afternoon at Galveston Island State Park. Extreme crop but it's a first for me.
Building the "B Model" ship from from the Pirates of Barracuda Bay leaves behind a big bare dock. I thought I could build a more interesting smaller outpost with those pieces to pair with the awesome pirate ship.
Includes a "working" crane, multiple cannon positions, a jail cell with a hidden gem, and discreet treasure chest storage.
Without looking at the date of when this was taken, would you think the market was up or down this day?
HDR rendered photo taken in Tokyo, Japan (though I must admit HDR doesn't do much for this shot. I need some trees just behind the monitors, and a cloud or two just under the lights to make this pic shine!)
down to the butter and cracked black pepper! On weeknights, when I don't have anything prepared beforehand, I can always count on Trader Joe's! Tonight we had the breaded panko tilapia fillets, Brittany Blend (veggies . . . waxed green beans & baby carrots), and the "Risi e bisi" rice which I made using TJ's jasmine rice, petite peas, garlic, butter, olive oil and cracked black pepper. Everything on this plate is from TJ's except for the "Italian parsley." Dinner was ready in less than an hour! ;-)

the long line just to get in the new trader joe's. this was at around 4 o'clock on a weekday. i'd estimate the line was about 30-40 people deep. it's been nearly two weeks since opening and the crowds still haven't let up. as someone raised in california, where there are plenty of tj stores for everyone, i find this pretty funny.

A weathered corrugated metal roof displays the bold red name of the establishment against a stark white background. An antenna array and a small satellite dish sit atop the peaked structure, which is set against a bright blue sky with scattered clouds. A street lamp extends into the foreground, framing the building's entrance.
This portrait is of an old-timer, and old man that has grown wise-in-his-ways as he grew older. Feel free to use this as an avatar, especially if you are as old as this man looks. I created this while doodling on the computer waiting for my binary options to clear on optionsclick.com and I think it came out pretty good if I may toot my own horn.
Trader Joes, for those unaware, is a grocery store chain, but it is unlike any other grocery store anyone has ever been in. It is weird, quirky, unique and cheap. The chain collects food worldwide and brings them to your neighborhood, but they have reached a dilemma. They were once considered to be a "mom & pop" store, but because they have grown quickly they are losing that feel. So this campaign just kind of attempts to capture the store behind Trader Joes.
