This lovely little cobbled passageway is just off the famous Mermaid Street in the Medieval town of Rye, Sussex, England.
Spotted during a walk along the Trent & Mersey Canal at Willington, this Narrowboat Fender maker, had moored up his boat at Willington Wharf, and was selling an amazing array of Boat fenders and sundries.
Sibsey Trader Windmill is one of the few six-sailed mills remaining in England. The mill was built in 1877 by local millwrights Saundersons of Louth, in a typical Lincolnshire style, to replace a small post mill.
In its day it was the 'Rolls Royce' of windmills, being one of the very last to be built in Lincolnshire. It has been described as "one of the finest mills in the country with its slender tower and elaborate wrought iron balcony".
It is not exceptionally tall, containing only six floors above ground, and the height to the top of the cap is 74 feet 3 inches. The slenderness of the tower, and the flat landscape in which it stands, together create the impression that it is bigger than it actually is, and make the sails, already admittedly large, look enormous.
The mill worked until 1954 (although with only four sails in its later years) following which it was allowed to fall into disrepair. In the 1960’s it was earmarked by the then Ministry of Works as one of twelve windmills of national importance. In the early seventies, it and two other mills on the list were taken into the care of the Department of the Environment (successor to the Ministry of Works) and later that decade the restoration began.
It has now being restored to full working order.

The Lisbon Trader, a general cargo ship from Monrovia Liberia, unloads a catamaran from it's deck, yacht in front was unloaded earlier. The ship is moored at Ogden Point docks in Victoria BC Canada. This is a common site here as boats usually made in Asia are delivered to local clients. I think part of the reason this is done is because the boats are probably cheaper to buy offshore. Follow the money...haha!
Dadar flower market comes to life at 4 in the morning. Its a wholesale flower market on the narrow lanes under Dadar station flyover. Bustling with flower traders, this is the hub that's responsible for almost all the flowers that hit the 'Maximum city' on a daily basis, catering to all its floral needs. This place is filled with tiny kiosks and stalls on wooden planks, selling truckload of flowers, from the ones used for religious activities, to the exotic ones that serve as decors at our homes. The low prices are jaw-dropping, but then you gotta buy a truck load too, to make a sale.
