Paddling At The Pond

Dressed To Thrill
The Domos were delighted today when I suggested a hike up to Loch Humphrey - the lake in the hills above where we are staying. They all wanted to come, and decided they wanted to get dressed up for the occasion - perfect for this week’s 52 Weeks Theme, Dressing Up. More info. Ref: D1097_37
Olympic Torch Relay
Tomorrow the Olympic Torch Relay comes to our city. However, the Domos looked at the weather forecast and decided they didn't want to get very wet waiting for it, so they thought they would hold their own version today instead. Fiery was the obvious choice for carrying the torch, closely followed by his three Chocolate-Lolly Standard bearers Ruby, Alby and Leccy. He's about to hand the torch on to one-armed Beady who will light the Union Jack Flaming Tea Cup Cauldron to keep the flame alive overnight while the party continues. All the other Domos are watching excitedly!

Catch A Falling Star (Or Two)
Lavvy found some Christmas lights in a box this evening, to which he took an instant liking. I don’t think he’ll be far away from them for much of December. Perhaps he can guard them on the tree? That’s if he’ll let go of them for long enough for me to put them on the tree!
