On the river Wey approaching Godalming there's a lovely unspoiled view. I was playing with vignettes in the editing process and it gives the image a postcardy look.

Kennet and Avon Canal

Ohio & Lake Erie Towpath Trail - Akron, OH

This stretch had no waterfowl at all on the way out but on my return a huge flock of Canada Geese had turned up.

 

A new stretch of the Cheshire Ring Canals Walk for me. I walked along the Towpath of the Trent and Mersey Canal from Kings Lock, Middlewich for 5 miles towards Rudheath and back.

Inside the Netherton Tunnel at Bumble Hole we watched the boating fraternity assembling the large number of boats for their festival.

2 shots to create this, both taken by me. This is the Leeds - Liverpool canal down by where I live. (wow, that sounds Yorkshire)

The dark and dingy towpath is much brighter after the demolition of the building to the right.

Hand held from 3 exposures and tone mapped with Dynamic-photo HDR. Very new to HDR and Tone mapping and constructive criticism is welcomed.

The Leeds-Liverpool Canal at Farnhill

Obviously as the name of the road implies, this used to be the towpath, at the widewaters beyond is the point where Erie Blvd (just off to the right) diverts from the old canal route.
