Around the city centre of Dublin was many smaller independent towns including Rathmines. Although now considered part of the city centre, Rathmines boasts the most impressive of the townhalls built in the later half of the nineteenth century in Dublin. Designed by Sir Thomas Drew, the impressive (but top heavy) clock tower is visible for miles and with the local Catholic Church gives the town two recognisable landmarks.

... which was built to house salvaged material from Emral Hall in Flintshire: the mullion windows you can see, a Jacobean ceiling and panelling. The main hall was closed to visitors unfortunately. There are loos on the ground floor. Note the grand wrought iron gates.

A composing of a 30 seconds long exposure and the sky replacement tool from Luminar4. Made the long exposure with a ND1000 filter to remove almost everybody from the place in front of the townhall.

It hosts the city government including the city council, offices of the mayors and part of the administration.
