my last morning in Iceland, we stopped at a local artisans’ studio, and i bought this hand-carved horse from an artist named Lára — i’d been telling her about the research grant i’ve submitted to do a project in this country, and another customer who was listening said, “well, now you have your touch wood, for luck” — i hope she is right!
your touch
falling
like first snow in the dark
to the place
where my skin
forgets its name
your touch
on the small of my back
is a door opening
I step through,
weightless
into the hush of you
Most of us would just take in beauty with our eyes but my daughter, having autism, explores things on a much deeper level. She is amazing and inspirational.

Hmm, renders bokeh and tones quite well, I wouldn't call it a body cap, its no slouch. :)
