Braille was found as a tiny kitten, stray on the streets of Rome. She had a terrible eye infection that cost her both sight and comfort. She recently had both eyes surgically removed (enucleation), and has been adopted by her foster mom Kayla!

Lulu is 8 weeks old. Baxter is 10 weeks old. They are fascinated by this toy that my adult cat Ginger ignored. First they chased the ball inside the tube, then they chased each other's paws.
Sitting in the yard with Tudor. (She put up with the camera for about five minutes before getting off my lap)
Ember has a serious drinking problem. I'm not thrilled with her being on the kitchen counter, but she's pretty determined.
Picking Daphne up for some cuddling last night resulted in my almost bringing her home with me! Though she was a bit shy on photo-shoot day, by the time I returned she must have decided she liked me. The sweet little girl (she weighs less than Buckley, though she's older) simply would not let me put her down, and practically clung to me! Oh, it's so hard to leave them...She is a real lovebug, and I hope she finds a wonderful home very soon.
Otherwise, she might become a regular here. ;)
Please visit our Petfinder homepage if you're interested in adopting or sponsoring any of these cats (or even if you just want to donate a few dollars; the AWF is completely volunteer-supported and is a no-kill, full medical care shelter). You can also help us raise money by GoodSearching for the Brooke County Animal Welfare League, or purchasing a print of any of our cats (contact me via FlickrMail); I'll donate 50% of the proceeds to the League and care of the cats.
