I went out walking with my new 105mm lens and wanted to try out the bokeh. So I went for this street shot up young and I am quite happy with the results. This is a place I would like to do a portrait in the future. I also really like the detail for street photography and might go downtown to see what I can capture later this week.

One of the out takes from a shoot a few weeks back. I was playing with a rim light behind the model and a reflector (a white form core board) directly under the arms of the model....an umbrella and flash about 8 feet behind the camera (turned down so as not to create too many harsh shadows but still create catch lights in the eyes... and a soft box about five feet above the floor and at a 45 degree angle at camera left.

Yep disk dumpster diving still ... sheesh I should be in bed. But I am listening to Carlos Santana on the headphones and am just in a groove that denies any thought of sleep. I'll pay for this when the alarm goes off .....
This started with an image taken last October while on a walkabout. Toronto has a lot of places not designated as parks where one can forget that they are in Canada's most populated city
n. the unsettling awareness that the rest of the world happily carries on in your absence, that although things only ever seem to change when you check back in for an update, they’re unwilling to wait for you, and undergo massive shifts while your back is turned—your mother getting older, your old friends becoming different people, your hometown losing some of the hallmarks that made it feel like home.

v. intr. to wander through the grounds of a cemetery, glancing over the gravestones as if you were people-watching the dead, imagining all the things they must have seen and the lives they might have led, trying to conjure up an entire biography from a handful of words and dates etched in granite, with barely more than a single dash to cover the unimaginable vastness of their experience.

McCaul Street & Queen Street. Where life and art meet. McCaul St. is where the Ontario College of Art & Design is located along with the Art Gallery of Ontario. Two very spectacular buildings.
Riverside Dr is located in the west end of Toronto. It's 1.43 km in length and runs through the neighbourhood of Swansea or Village of Swansea as it's locally known. Riverside Dr is not pedestrian friendly as the street does not have any sidewalks. The only sidewalk is pictured here, but ends where those two cars are illegally parked. The neighbourhood of Swansea does not have any sidewalks either.
