The set up is interesting, it was important for the customer to have his kayak centered over the length of the truck. To do so it was necessary to have a split rack system, meaning half the rack was mounted to the truck cab and the other half to the truck shell. We usually discourage people from this set up because the two separate platforms for the rack and the possible twisting between the two bars could cause stress for the rack, the load and even the attachment points. This was all taken into consideration before the install and it was decided to move forward. The rear bar is mounted to the shell using the Yakima Bolt TopLoader which allows use of the Q Tower when matched to the Q41 Clips, the front bar is a standard Q Tower-in-door-frame attachment. We had to do a bit of customization with the amount of load bar that extends beyond the Q Towers so that the Hullavator side would be equal, just a couple calculations and measurements got it set up perfectly. The Hullavator operated just fine on the Yakima RoundBar, when pulling the mechanism down you'd notice that one side of the Hullavator might tilt forward or backward some but when a boat is loaded the two halves would stabilize each other, so there's not problem with it.

i remember toploader being a wet crappy band that sang too much about love and loves lost so i went for the sole purpose of taking photographs for my portfolio, in three songs no flash out. but i was blown away by the energy onstage these guys can play. there wasnt much crowd interaction but they just kept plugging away and hitting us with well a wall of sound that kept a smile on my lips for the entire performance. the following moring armed with a story of shock and awe i ventured into the office to admit i was wrong.
At our Jump-off point at Kayapa, Nueva Vizcaya. Just couldn't resist firing off a few more shots before actually starting the long ardous trek.

I had run this bag through the washer two times already but it didn't felt much and the fabric was still kind of flobby. I only have access to a toploader so I wasn´t sure how to proceed.
Then I saw the article in the last Knitty (winter 2007) about felting by hand and I decided to try it.
This is the bag before I hand felt it. There is a little ball on it for size comparison.
