Image made in response to Macro Mondays theme, "Five." I interpreted the theme as a challenge to create a composition from five identical objects and chose wooden toothpicks. Shot with my Pixel 3 phone equipped with a Moment 10X Macro Lens. HMM, all!

Array of Toothpicks

An old shot from Sävedalens dalgång (Valley of Sävedalen). A rather bad image seen to sharpness and focus but I like the feeling of it anyway.

Shot for Macro Mondays, theme "Bathroom".

Happy MM everybody

At the mouth of the Merrimac River on the Salisbury side in the reservation is a large wooden structure commonly known as "The Toothpick". It was used in conjunction with two Newburyport harbor lights to guide sailing ships into the harbor. The harbor lights and toothpick are no longer used for navigation, but preserved as part of the area's nautical heritage.

Mermiria bivittata

The prairies of the great plains of North America are noteworthy for their diverse grasshoppers. A land of grass designed for grass eaters. This one in conspicuous yellow and orange. Many species and not easy to identify. No id after 4 months on BugGuide.

Battersea Power Station, completed in 1939, was the first in a series of very large (for the era) coal-fired electrical generating facilities set up in England as part of the National Grid power distribution system then being introduced.

The grade II listed building is being converted to a large commercial and entertainment complex as the centrepiece of a project to rejuvenate the area.

He's here to give lots of bear hugs, share secrets and bring joy to our family.

The road from Marree to Leigh Creek has a lot of road kill. The carcasses attract a lot of scavengers including Kites and Eagles. We slowed down as we approached the remains of an emu to allow the birds time to get off the ground. As we drove past I noticed a Wedge Tailed Eagle turning around and heading back to the emu remains. The driver obligingly pulled over and I doubled back through the scrub. I was able to move in quite close to the eagle. It was surprisingly unconcerned with my presence.

The eagle is looking around and trying to work out what the shutter noise is. It looks a little jaunty with the emu feather out of the corner of its beak. Between Marree and Leigh Creek, South Australia.

Nickolas and Grandma worked very hard on this project together and we were all proud of the work when it was finished. :) hehe Just thought I would share.

Macro Mondays Toothpicks

Benedek is one of my favourite street rider. Always try something on the spots, and as a rule, he does a crazy trick...

Meet Toothpick, my squirrel whose tail needs a fur coat. I have another squirrel, who usually walks along the top of my fence and rarely comes close enough to photograph, who has white fur at the end of his tail. His name is Q-tip. I took this shot of Toothpick through a screened window and processed the heck out of it to make it a presentable photo.
