The theme for the week is toothpicks. I used my toothpicks to create this extremely awkward little snowman made from a cut-up marshmallow, Red Hots as the necklace, peppercorns for eyes and buttons, a fruit roll for hair, and a half pistachio as a cap.
It feels silly to focus my attention on my photo project sometimes, but I hope this might bring a smile and change someone's day for the better. There is so much suffering right now - friends and family dealing with loss and uncertainty. This feels like a small gesture, if only for a moment, I hope to bring whimsy and play in order to provide some respite from the stress.
HMM!

Ben Butler’s Toothpick, named after a Civil War general, is a pyramidal-shaped navigational marker dating from the late 19thcentury. It rises at the end of a jetty, which juts into the mouth of the Merrimack River and once provided
warning to boats approaching from the Atlantic Ocean. It is a well-known point
of reference to boaters, known simply as “The Toothpick.”

Kitty knew what to do when she discovered a little fishbone wedged in her teeth, "ah ha" thought the cleaver cat and headed to her favourite "toothpick tree" and carefully dislodged the offending item.
Kitty thought reflecting back to the fishbone incident, that with the help from the nature's toothpick tree, and all things considered, it was a Purr-fect outcome, a very satisfactory result even her vet would agree with that!
Kitty the cat said ...... "Love & Peace".
Just a little fun from nature!
To cheer us all up!

Today I had no inspiration at all. I took the firs thing I found in the kitchen and I went for a sort of abstract shot with it.

This is a dental tool, I bought about fifty years ago to use when I was studying camera repair.
The background is the lid to a Rubbermaid bowl.
For Macro Mondays, toothpicks. It's a toothpick, in a way.
It's a real odd one, the normal onces have two sharp ends.
This is a real odd one, made for Macro Mondays, this time initial posted in more then my typical 12 Groups, and then I didn‘t post to Macro Mondays.
