Nowadays, it's called a hex wrench; it's used for putting hexes on things. Photo taken with off-camera flash, using green paper as background. Focus is on the face of the short end of the wrench.

Oyster Fishing boats in many states of usability along the working Florida Coast. It was the only sunrise I got up for while on vacation, and it was worth it.

I chatted a bit about pens, inks and stuff over at "The Tools Artists Use" (thanks Bill Turner) Its severe art nerdy as I go on about my favourite pens and what I carry around with me ;)
Yesterday was fathers day, so I wanted to do a photo that touched on that. These are a few of the tools I’ve had handed down to me from my father and grandfather. The tools passed onto me have been more than just these physical objects; I’ve been given the tools I need to guide myself through life. More on my blog.

Grand Theft Auto V

Camera Tools: Rockstar Editor
Resolution: SRWE hotsampling
Post-processing: Reshade v3
Downsample Filter: Lanczos3
Notes:
1. Depth buffer disappears after a resolution change. Changing the camera view when in the Rockstar Editor seems to fix it though. I found jumping through the video place markers seemed to do the trick.
2. There must be an easier way of getting rid of the mouse pointer in the Editor. I ended up having to use a game controller to back out of the Editor and then back in before the pointer was removed.
3. Tried out Otis_Inf's new CinematicDOF shader here and can already see it will be very useful. Still need to play a bit to figure out the best way to use the various values but the scalable blur through resolution changes and NearPlaneEdgeBlur are standout features!

In one of Mistress Berryessa's many chambers, she prepares for the coming solar flare that will wipe out an unpredictable amount of electronic data, as has been foretold by the godex Lux.
She has recruited a good portion of male Blueberry resources as manual scribes to create analog backups. Normally she would let even a common Raspberry oversee this mission, but seeing as she had so many subservient males indoors with her, it only seemed fitting that she should have some fun with them ;) Here we see a poor soul who complained about having to use only a pink crayon being subjected to one of Berryessa's most subtle, but deadly serious tools: a feather.
