Drawing is a thinking tool. When your X grade teacher Mrs. Y told you couldn't draw Z, you stopped drawing. Start again.

This is the Tool Cake that I made for my husband's birthday today. It is a Red Velvet Cake with milk chocolate ganache filling. My 5 year old son insisted that I make tools to go on the top of the cake, I was planning to do a plain madhatter type cake!! The tools are all made out of modelling paste.

Father and sons tool boxes, just like in the old days side by side.

The leaflets, instructions and other bits and bobs that came with my rugs.

This was probably the coolest thing at the MSP Mini Maker Faire. Youth (ages 10-18) who participated in half a dozen tool-skill stations were given a toolbox, full of tools. A big thanks to the companies and groups who sponsored this. I am probably forgetting a couple, but they include Veit, Ton-Up Minneapolis motorcycle club, and the North Star Chapter of the Studebaker Drivers Club.

Dad has had this fancy tool box since he owned the bike shop.

Do I even have to comment on this tool's photo?

High leverage tools with specific tooth patterns or wide sizing. An errant crescent wrench and a big honkin' screwdriver I found.

Unknown camera tool.

The head has the form of a sprocket wheel so my first guess is that's ment to drive something. Maybe to cock a shutter which is removed from the camera.

The outer diameter of the head is 6mm and it has 18 teeth. The hole in the head has a diameter of approx. 3mm.

More information very welcome.

We're certainly impressed!

These specialized pullers are for removing rotor flywheels on some motorcycles. They consist of a reverse-threaded sleeve that is run into the flywheel, and a bolt that tightens inward to push the flywheel off the taper of the shaft.

One day, on a whim, I added a hand hoe to an on-line purchase. I've tried all sorts of hand tools in the garden and have been disappointed almost every time. Like my cobra head weeder, most of them are gathering dust. Little did I know how much I would love this tool and how often I would use it. In fast, it's probably my most used garden hand tool.
