The MTA-MAB headquarters building was built in 1896 for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. After 1945, the building was used by the County Council. Later it was the home of the Ferenc Rákóczi County Library and then by the Herman Ottó Museum.
The eclectic style of the building corresponded to its time and expressed the taste of the industrial class looking back on old traditions and the up-and-coming merchants who got rich at the end of the last century. Although it is not a monument, it is of cityscape importance, because the proportion of the main masses, its rich plastic play, and above all the beauty and pure logic of the interior spaces created a dignified, beautiful public building. The renovation of the building and its transformation for the MAB headquarters were carried out by the Hungarian Academy of Sciences based on the plans of architect Anna Cifka. This shot might look a bit overexposed (because of my PP with the texture) but since it contains a lemon (one of my favourite fruits) I wanted the use it for this week's theme 'Food' at the Shades of Yellow Friday group.
We're having wonderful weather here in Sweden and tomorrow there's a carneval. I'll go there and hope to get some good shots. Have a great weekend!

I needed to take a break from shooting due to shoulder injury. For same reason I have spent very little time in front of my computer. In the meantime Autumn is slowly taking over and showing it's colors.

This was the first shot of the seashore around Kamiiso Torii, the gate of Isosaki Shrine, Ibaraki, Japan, on the day I took "Sanctity", which I uploaded Jan 9. It was getting brigher above the horizon under still starry sky. Due to three-minute exposure, the waves look sea clouds.
Autumn colors are beautiful but if you missed the reds, yellows, and oranges, take a different view and notice all the warm tones, textures and shapes. There just might be a picture there after all. Thanks for the visits.
This wasn't the greatest of circumstances--just too bright and sunny--but you can't deny this two-tone beauty is worth the shot! This was taken at the rose garden located in Veterans' Memorial Park, Winona, Minnesota. Hope you all enjoy!

The term refers to a form of abstract art based on the supremacy of pure artistic expression rather than on a visual or literal depiction of objects. It is entirely subjective and gives room for the artist to present what they think or perceive versus what they may see.

An Ultra-Wide-Angle Capture of the Nizamiya Turkish Mosque in Midrand, Greater Johannesburg, South Africa. This gives something of a sense of the sheer vastness and remarkable symmetry of the mosque interior. It can take up to 6000 worshoppers - as many folk as the quorum in the classical Athenian Ecclesia required. I have used a 'cold-tone' desaturation technique to emphasize the architectural geometry and extraordinary symmetry of the interior.
It is amazing how I can fritter away my time when I should be doing housework - photography is so much more fun! Happy bokeh Wednesday!
